Because Relation Grid has no accounts, we collect very little about you. The data involved falls into three groups:

Information you give us directly

The site has no sign-up, login, or forms that ask for personal details. The only time you share personal information with us is if you choose to email us — for example, a privacy question or a support request. In that case we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our servers record basic technical information each time a page is requested. This typically includes your IP address, browser and device type (user-agent), the pages you viewed, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. We use these server logs to keep the site running, secure, and performant, and to diagnose problems.

Usage and session analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand traffic and usage across the site. It collects information such as the pages you view, the referring page, browser and device information, approximate location, and interactions with the site. The Google tag is delivered through a first-party gateway on our domain, and the resulting analytics data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

We use Microsoft Clarity, a product analytics service from Microsoft, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Clarity uses cookies and similar technologies to collect anonymized usage data, aggregated metrics, heatmaps, and session recordings of interactions such as clicks, scrolls, and navigation. Clarity is configured to mask text you enter and other sensitive content by default. This data is processed by Microsoft in accordance with the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We use it only in aggregate to study product usage, never to identify you personally.

The core of the site — looking up companies and their subprocessors — works without cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data.

The analytics cookies we use come from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity and support the usage analytics described above (for example, distinguishing one session from another). You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings; doing so will not affect your ability to search and read company data on the site.

We use the limited information described above to:

• Operate, maintain, and secure the website.
• Understand how the site is used so we can improve its content, performance, and reliability.
• Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, or errors.
• Respond to you if you contact us.
• Comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only in these limited situations:

• Service providers. We use trusted third parties to run the site, such as our hosting provider, Google (for Google Analytics), and Microsoft (for Clarity analytics). They process data on our behalf and only for the purposes we set.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the site, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. If Relation Grid is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Our service providers — including Google and Microsoft — may process data in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on those providers' safeguards for protecting it in line with applicable data protection law.

We keep server logs and analytics data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — typically to operate and secure the site and to understand usage trends — after which it is deleted or aggregated so it no longer identifies anyone. If you email us, we keep your message for as long as needed to handle your request and our records.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or object to our use of it, and the right to withdraw consent to analytics cookies. Because we do not hold accounts, we usually hold no information that directly identifies you. Relation Grid is a professional reference tool intended for a general adult audience. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to keep your data safe.

We may update this policy from time to time as the product or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be made clear on this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
